Noxious Aquatic Weed Information:
The Yarrow Point Waterfront Association is an organization of waterfront property owners who support Federal, Washington State, and King County efforts to control noxious aquatic weeds. The Association’s State licensed marine biologist has determined that four of the listed noxious aquatic weeds are prevalent along Yarrow Point shorelines and we are acting to control them. Our member Yarrow Point residents have each agreed to pay the modest cost for control efforts at their waterfront properties to reduce the infestation. The specific noxious aquatic weeds are Eurasian watermilfoil, Brazilian elodea, curly-leaf pondweed, and fragrant water lily. Click on the names of each for more information from the government agencies responsible for the public policy to control them.
These noxious weeds spread from uncontrolled properties. If you have uncontrolled Yarrow Point shoreline property, we invite you to join our efforts to improve our environment in accordance with established public policy. Please contact us for further information at [email protected].
The Town of Yarrow Point does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in its programs or activities.
